She’s the new “Audry Hepburn” with that very iconic, graceful yet feminine style. Working with Victoria Summer, a singer and actress from Britain, it was understood that I would be using a 1950′s meets 21st century style.  I worked with pieces of the designer Nathanaelle Couture.
Victoria has many talents and masters them all. Some of her latest projects include a Nickelodeon commercial with Katy Perry for the movie “Part of Me”, a supporting role in the musical film “How Sweet It Is” starring Joe Piscopo, Erika Christensen and Paul Sorvino and just wrapped filming the movie “Lone Grove” (working title) as the lead character set in Oklahoma and based on a true story.
Besides singing and acting, she also writes a monthly column called “Hollywood On The Inside” for the UK newspaper ‘The Reading Chronicle’.
She proves that a female of our era can have the grace of the 1950′s and the strength of a modern woman.

Recently, I started working with John Hong, a very fine and talented photographer based in Santa Monica, California.
Thanks to Hollywood Model Management we were able to work with the very beautiful Gemma Williams.  Hair and Make up was done by Zulma Tercero.

I put together different looks. Some are more romantic and dressy, yet with adding the right amount accessories, they became of fashion value.
However, with one particular look, I chose to change it up a bit. I combined femininity with a playful boyish touch by simply adding a bow tie to complete the look.

You probably have seen him before – either on screen starring in Telenovelas and movies or in one of the many news articles written about him.  Mexico born actor and voice over talent Jaime Aymerich just finished up his latest movie “In a World” directed by and starring Lake Bell as well as Eva Longoria and comedian Demetri Martin.

Besides acting, he also runs his own production company named CrossOver Entertainment with its goal to integrate Mexican and American cinema.  He says “Mexico is a beautiful place and it has so much to offer. So working with the Mexican government to make movies taking place there and to promote them here in the US is an amazing project.”

When Jaime decided to work with BMF, we brainstormed about what would be the best look.  Quickly it was agreed that dressing him in a ‘modern leading man’ style would be the way to go.
Jaime is wearing very slim cut suits and shirts by H&M and Zara.  When it comes to accessorizing suits and business attire, tie clips and handkerchiefs definitely are back in the fashion game.

Right now, in Men’s Fashion if you are going for that sleek business yet trendy look I haven’t found any other designers that compliment this particular style as good as these European based fashion houses.

A fitted suit vest can be worn with a slim cut dress shirt with neatly rolled up sleeves to create a more casual style.  To create this look I used a dress shirt by DKNY , a H&M vest and Zara slacks.

Going into the footwear department, I styled Jaime in Prada moccasins, black Lacoste hi-top sneakers and Aldo leather sneakers with a Velcro strap.

And nobody wants to see bulky and unfitted wedding or prom tuxedos anymore.  H&M offers the solution – a very fitted and sleek looking tuxedo. Jaime is wearing a slim fitted tuxedo shirt by Clavin Klein with it and the look was completed with a smaller slicker looking bow tie.

BMF is looking at a printed canvas showing floating forms and outlines of a human body.  American Artist Christy Lee Rogers redefines underwater photography.  Her works are true and untouched once they reach the canvas.
The national art scene has held a high interest in her pieces for an extensive period of time now and internationally she can be found in magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar Art, China and Monaco Matin Journal.
With an upcoming art exhibition titled “Reckless Unbound” presenting in Los Angeles, art lovers should mark their calenders.
Rogers’ fashion can be described as simple and real with shopping small boutiques and local consignment stores.

United Kingdom born, Los Angeles based actress and voice-over talent, Serena Lorien invited BMF to place the magnifying glass upon her closet.

This outstanding brit-beauty has several projects on her hands such as working alongside Thora Birch and Efren Ramirez in the feature film “Sound of Mind”. Her ascension to the top is on track with Hollywood’s A-list. Anglotopia.net called her “the brit actress to watch out for in 2012″.  We agree.

When BMF opened her closet, we found several beautiful dresses and high heeled shoes from designers such as  BCBGmaxazria, Guess, Max Studio, and French Connection. We fell in love with what she had to share.

Alright, Fashion Week in New York City was quite a success.  BMF took a close look at the trends for this upcoming season.
Here is the lowdown.  Definitely, bold color, a lot of “maxi” for skirts, dresses and trousers, animal and batik inspired prints but also worth mentioning – simple whites.
And for the more Niki Minaj-esque women among us, designer duo Meadham Kirchhoff won’t disappoint you.

BCBG and Lamb.

Victoria Beckham and Chloe.

Just Cavalli and Micheal Kors.

Oscar de la Renta and Mui Mui.

Burlesque -  The art of the tease, some might call it.  Many books were written about this style of performance and many people have not fully grasped its beauty and entertainment value.
With the help of New Orleans born Actress/Singer/Philanthropist, Kirsten Henry King, BMF had the chance to take a closer look into the fashion of this intriguing art.
Kristen Henry King has a remarkable portfolio in the arts of music and film.  Her latest project is a blog about “decoding Hollywood” where she works on revealing the mystery behind “making it” in the entertainment industry.  “A journey to the A-List”, as she calls it.  Sounds interesting, follow her on twitter.

Time for Romance on February Fourteenth.
The countdown is running to an entirely invented Hallmark Holiday – Valentine’s Day.  Four more days to go and we will dine and wine at restaurants and receive flowers that are absolutely overpriced.  The color red will dominate us all.  But let’s take a look at the most intriguing part of the day.  Lingerie belongs to Valentine’s Day like the arrow to cupid.  Ladies, let’s be fashionable and sexy underneath, shall we?
There is something for all of us – from La Perla to Victoria’s Secret or Frederick’s of Hollywood.

And don’t forget stockings, of course.

Even if you don’t have a Valentine yet, treat yourself to something nice because you never know what can happen after three Martinis.
Have fun, kids.  Enjoy.

Having three passports from Mexico, Canada and Spain and speaking three languages, French, Spanish and English,  Mexico City born trendsetter Warren Tardif has the world to his feet.  In his early twenties on a flight from Paris to Istanbul, he made a list of things to accomplish within the next five years, including traveling all 50 States of America and most of Canada and Mexico, graduating from University of British Columbia, visiting all five continents, buying a Jeep and finding spiritual peace. And indeed, at the age of 25 he was able put a check mark behind all of them.
Today, his closet is organized to a tee filled with suits from Zara and H&M along with clothes from Urban Outfitters and local boutiques.  Not to mention, his subscription to GQ Magazine renews automatically.  We are looking at an ambitious young entrepreneur from whom we can expect to see a lot of in the future.

A Sunday morning field trip to the Santa Monica Vintage Expo.
Myself and Amy, TeamFranzy’s social event coordinator, had an inside look at today’s vintage collections.  At times it was highly overpriced and when mentioned the response was “It’s Vintage!”.  By raiding your grandma’s closet you might also get lucky and find one or two pieces that are just as “vintage”.  However, with a few finds that just made us happy, it can be said it is worthwhile to spend a couple of hours looking at hats, headbands, sun glasses and eye glass frames, and lots of beautiful jewelry.

It’s that time of  year again for dressing up with no questions asked.  Halloween makes it all possible.  We get dressed up in a scary, funny, interesting but most importantly in a slutty costume.  It’s the one holiday a year that allows it all. And after all it isn’t bad because it is Halloween.  So let me quote a dear friend of mine “Halloween is a way for good girls to dress like sluts and for fags to dress like girls.”  But we don’t care because we love it.  Happy Halloween!

When you think about fashion, what do you think about?  Is is a life style or just a necessity to not get in trouble for public indecency? When does it become more than a necessity?

When you are out with your girlfriends but hours before, you were in front of your mirror trying on different outfits every 2 minutes indecisive whether to wear your favorite pair of Manolo Blahnik’s or just to go with your favorite knock-off boots that you found at a thrift store, do you ask yourself is dressing up for myself or for others?

Walking through life in your favorite high heels and chancing the risk of breaking a heel or two or just comfortably tramp your way through life, that’s the decision one has to make.  Is that the truth?
We all know that life hasn’t always planned everything to be easy so setting fashion aside when it gets hard so one can tramp comfortably could be one way to go about it.  Nevertheless, Sex and the City has taught us that fashion is even more important in hard times.  When Carrie left Big’s house all heartbroken, she still hailed a cab in style wearing her beloved Jimmy Choo’s.  But looking West, we don’t really see women hailing cabs in high heels.  It’s more the comfortableness that rules there. Does that mean women of the West don’t have a sense for style or is it just a different life style?

Whatever the answer to that may be, every woman has a right to fashion in a style that works for her.  And sometimes it’s wearing those 5 inch high heels that make your feet burn by the end of the night but make you feel like a goddess and sometimes it’s just being snuggled up in the perfect comfy clothes watching your favorite old-time movie but still feeling in style.
